Money
is inefficient, impractical...
Digital Currency or a System of no Money at all-which
is better?
Fans of Star Trek may
recall that the Federation abandoned the use of money early on as a means of
allowing governments and people to work together on space travel projects.
Marie Jarva,
a Stockholm bank employee, suffered a scary assault one day at work. “It was early in the
morning. Two men entered the office breaking the glass door with an ax. The
goal was to steal the case containing the money for the ATMs. I was so scared I
hid in a back room behind a closet. “
The bank now
plans on removing the cash completely and progress to the use of credit and
debit cards only. According to supporters of the measure, by reducing the
amount of money managed by banks and people, crime would be reduced.
“There are
no clear practical reasons, as far as I can see, to continue using notes and
coins,” according to the leaders in the banking industry in Stockholm, “there
are obvious advantages in getting rid of them; Sweden could be the first
country in the world to take this measure.”
Economists
oppose the project, saying there is a lack of privacy, “the biggest advantage
(of money), in an electronic age, is that money is anonymous.’

A
little-noticed tidbit in the ongoing European budget negotiations I that Italy
plans to ban the use of cash
for transactions over 1,000 euros. Italy wants to cut down on tax evasion, but we should hope
that other countries start to realize the enormous economic benefit of ditching
cash.
Already, citizens carrying a large quantity of cash are assumed to be doing something illegal by government agencies such as the TSA, Customs Agents, etc. Meanwhile, the rise of phone-based mobile payments services suggest cash will be as inconvenient for small transactions as it is for large ones. At that point, cash will used as a medium of exchange for drug dealers, tax evaders, and other shady operators and we can expect other countries to ban its use altogether. The first country to impose a ban will find there’s an appealing hidden benefit: Without cash, there’s no need to ever have an extended recession.
Why would a cashless society be a depression-less society? Starting about 40 years ago, it became clear that central banks had the power to end most recessions pretty easily, independent of fiscal stimulus. If your economy is saddled with idle resources—unemployed workers, vacant office spaces, factories that aren’t running all their shifts, trucks cruising down highways half-empty—what you need to do is increase the flow of spending through the economy. You do that by cutting interest rates. When rates fall, business investment, homebuilding, and durable goods purchases all rise and next thing you know everybody’s back to work. That’s how the American economy worked from the mid-1970s until 2008.
Now
we come to the miracle of the cashless society. Stop for a moment and ask
yourself why
the interest rate can’t be reduced much below 1 percent. The trouble is cash.
At any given time, relatively little paper currency circulates in the United
States. Instead, most of the American money supply consists of bank accounts and other electronic stores of value. People prefer to keep money
in bank accounts because it’s convenient despite the fact little interest is
paid on those funds.
If the rates were driven below zero—in effect
a tax on holding cash in the bank—people would just withdraw money and store it
in shoeboxes instead. But what if you couldn’t withdraw cash? What if all transactions were
electronic, so the only way to avoid keeping money in a negative-rate account
was to go out and buy something with the money? Well, then, we would have
solved our depression problem. Too much unemployment -- Lower interest rates below zero, Americans will start spending and investing again,
the economic will grow, and unemployment will go back down to its “natural rate.”
This is the theory at any rate. What do you think?

Mixes
Save
money on the expensive pre-made on dried soups at the store. If you have a dehydrator,
then you can dehydrate small chunks of vegetables as well like carrots, peas,
corn. What really works best is getting those frozen mixed vegetables and
dehydrating them. They're already mixed, you just need to dehydrate them.
For any bean soup, simply combine:
3/4 - 1 C. beans (navy, pinto, red, etc.)
same amount for the dehydrated vegetables
same amount of orzo or whatever other type of pasta you might desire to pack with it. A suggestion would be to use whole wheat pasta because it holds up in the cooking much better than the regular type.
approximately 1 - 1 1/2 tsp. dried herbs of marjoram, sage, basil and thyme
1/2 - 1 tsp. dried oregano
1-2 Tbs. dried parsley

Hydrogen Peroxide Mouthwash
- Do you need a
replacement for your regular toothpaste? If so, mix baking soda with
enough 3% hydrogen peroxide to form a paste, and use this mixture instead
of your regular toothpaste. Hydrogen peroxide can also be used alone to
brush teeth. In addition, you can have family members soak their
toothbrushes in hydrogen peroxide to help kill germs and stop the spread
of illnesses to other family members.
Hydrogen Peroxide Around the House
- As always, 3% hydrogen
peroxide can be used to treat minor wounds in place of expensive
commercial products used for the same purpose. Why buy expensive products
when hydrogen peroxide can take care of so many of your household needs?
Add up the savings, compare that cheap 50 cent bottle of 3% hydrogen
peroxide with those expensive cleaners, with that high-priced bottle of
mouthwash sitting in your medicine cupboard, and with that expensive
facial astringent by the bathroom sink. Sure, they may have better flavor,
or smell better, but why add unneeded expenses to your budget when you
don't really have to? Turn to hydrogen peroxide instead.
- Do you want to serve your family clean,
bacteria free vegetables, but are hesitant about buying those
expensive packaged vegetable washes? Simply fill a clean spray bottle with
hydrogen peroxide, and another spray bottle with common cider vinegar.
Spritz vegetables with the peroxide, then the vinegar, or vice versa. It
does not matter which you use first, as long as you use both, one right
after the other. Rinse vegetables well under running water, then prepare
and serve as usual. No lingering taste of either the peroxide or the
vinegar will remain, and there is no need to worry about a small amount of
either liquid remaining on vegetables, as both are natural substances and
small amounts will not harm children or adults if ingested.
- A solution of 1 ounce
3% hydrogen peroxide combined with 1 quart of water can be used to water
plants in order to increase health. When used in this manner, it is always
a good idea to use a small amount first to test plant sensitivity. It is
also a good idea to mix the peroxide into the water, instead of mixing the
water into the peroxide.
- Are you tired of paying for those
expensive mouthwash products, but worried about periodontal disease and
bad breath? Using hydrogen peroxide as an inexpensive gargle and mouthwash
can help prevent gum disease and kill germs that cause bad breath! It has
even been shown to help clear up periodontal disease that may already have
taken hold in your mouth. Using this inexpensive product can save you
hundreds in dental bills by helping your family avoid frequent visits to
the dentist and even expensive surgeries! As an added bonus, using 3%
hydrogen peroxide in this manner can also help to whiten teeth.

Continues to Grow…at least politicians are consistent with their anti-citizen
policies. Welcome to the Year of the

Transit
authorities in several U.S. cities are installing audio/video enabled
surveillance systems on public buses that will give them the ability to record
and store private conversations, according to documents obtained by
an online news outlet.
The systems are being installed in San Francisco, Baltimore and other cities with funding from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The use of the equipment raises serious questions about eavesdropping without a warrant, particularly since recordings of passengers could be obtained and used by law enforcement agencies or even viewed in real time.

Who Needs the 5th Amendment? Apparently the US government doesn’t
Just a few days before the FISA renewal, Charles Savage reported in The New York Times that a few members of Congress had taken it upon themselves to decide that reaffirmation of the protections in the Fifth Amendment of the Bill of Rights is unneeded.
Virtually ignored by most of the news media preoccupied with their meaningless “fiscal cliff” blather, here is what Savage revealed:
“Lawmakers charged with merging the House and Senate versions of the National Defense Authorization Act decided on Tuesday to drop a provision that would have explicitly barred the military from holding American citizens and permanent residents in indefinite detention without trial as terrorism suspects…”
What that means is that instead of a flat-out prohibition against the military arresting and holding U.S. citizens without charges, the next time a president tries to lock up an American citizen without trial – as President George W. Bush tried – it will be left up to the courts to decide whether or not it's legal.
Don’t Look Up
And if you are truly concerned about your privacy, earlier this year, Congress passed the FAA Reauthorization Act that authorized the deployment of fleets of aerial spy drones to cruise above the United States.
This followed a major lobbying effort by defense contractors to promote the use of drones in American skies: 30,000 of them are expected to be in use by 2020, some as small as hummingbirds, meaning you won't see them tracking your every move. Some drones will be as big as passenger planes. They will be used by businesses, and certainly by police, as in Seattle where they have already been deployed.
A few examples of the destruction of freedom

No question about it, you've got one of the most thought provoking blogs around but most citizens aren't bright enough to take advantage of it. Also, for currency privacy or a cashless society, look into Bit Coin!
