"The theory of the IRS is rather repugnant to me because the assumption is made that I, the government, owns 100% of your income and I permit you to keep 5%, 10% or 20%. You're vulnerable, you've sold out. The government can take 80% if they want, which they did at one time."
-- Dr. Ron Paul
(1935-) American physician, US Congressman

Are you and your family prepared?

Less than two weeks ago, a 2-mile wide, 200mph tornado devastated Moore, Oklahoma. And despite the fact that Oklahoma is tornado country, many schools didn't even have tornado shelters.

Each time a weather disaster looms the nightly news shows people cleaning out the supermarket shelves…rarely does anyone seem prepared for much of anything in this country.  Many rely on the government to provide all relief assistance and then bitch when it doesn’t come quickly enough.

In areas racked by disaster or droughts, you can see that
local populations compete for limited food and resources.

The result is famine, disease, anger, theft, and bullets.

Crime rates soar as families struggle to feed their children
and violence becomes a way of life.

Did you know there are estimates that more than 4 million American families are now beginning to prepare for a major disaster by moving their families to a safe location.

The hottest areas of the US economy right now are in guns sales, precious metals, and backup food supplies.

A recent survey shows that people are preparing for:

76% – Economic Collapse

6% – Pandemic

6% – Nuclear War / Radiation

4% – Extreme Oil Crisis

2% – Mega Quake

2% – Electromagnetic Pulse

A new way to raise funds for disaster victims is gaining in popularity. It is called crowdfunding. The majority of crowdfunding Web sites take a 3 percent to 8 percent cut of the money that is raised -- far less than the 25 percent cut most large charities take.

Best Free Stuff – 2013 edition

What makes the Internet the extraordinary resource that it is? Some people say it’s the way the Web seamlessly connects all of us; others value its role as a limitless data repository; still others are just there for the cute animal pictures. (Grumpy Cat doesn’t count.) All of these points are valid, but when you drill down to nuts-and-bolts usefulness, one thing trumps them all.

The Internet is full of free stuff.

We’ve spent countless hours culling the jewels from the junk to craft our 18th annual roundup of free stuff, a virtual smorgasbord of the very best no-cost programs, apps, and services available online.

When to Bug Out: Knowing the Signs
One of the largest concerns during a disaster situation is when to leave. Hurricanes, floods, chemical leaks, societal breakdowns and terrorist attacks - all cause major evacuation disruptions in urban areas.

In 1956 the US Supreme Court rule the cop’s only have ONE DUTY, to protect government property, the court, and politicians.

Civil Disobedience Rising Across America as Citizens Fed up With Criminal Government
Nearly everywhere you turn, crowds of angry Americans are gathering, no longer content to merely sit idly by and remain spectators to the cavalcade of injustices being perpetuated ad nauseum against We the People by criminal governments that have long since lost their legitimacy.

10 Things Government Can Do That Would Land You in Jail
When a government declares itself above the law of the land, then the people live in a imperial dictatorship, and a tyrannical one at that.  It is the hallmark of a ruling class that lives with a separate set of rules than the rabble.

The Parting Thought:

The Posse Comitatus Act is not just merely dead; it is most sincerely dead.

The 1878 law (modified several times) was intended to limit the power of the federal government to impose martial law during times of social unrest. A nation's use of military personnel against its civilian population has long been considered a standard tool and hallmark of dictatorship.

On May 13th, 2013, a new rule went into effect. The US Code “Defense Support of Civilian Law Enforcement Agencies” was altered by the Department of Defense to read:

“Federal military commanders have the authority, in extraordinary emergency circumstances where prior authorization by the President is impossible and duly constituted local authorities are unable to control the situation, to engage temporarily in activities that are necessary to quell large-scale, unexpected civil disturbances because:

 (1) Such activities are necessary to prevent significant loss of life or wanton destruction of property and are necessary to restore governmental function and public order; or

 (2) Duly constituted Federal, State, or local authorities are unable or decline to provide adequate protection for Federal property or Federal governmental functions.”

The Pentagon has granted itself the authority to police American streets and cities without the need for permission from the Executive or consent from local law enforcement. (Note: the arrangement could be at the behest of Obama who may wish to distance himself from military action on American soil.) Moreover, because the authority results from a change within a Department of Defense regulation, there is no clear need for Congressional approval.

There are many ways to approach the expansion of military power over domestic law enforcement.

The vagueness of the language is troubling. For example, what constitutes an “unexpected civil disturbance”?

America's political fabric is unraveling. And Obama has run low on the credibility required to launch yet another Charm Offensive.
