10 Things We Should Have Known by 20

How many times have you made a discovery and said, “I wish I had known this years ago?” Over at In Over Your Head, they’ve come up with 20 major things they wish they had known at age 20. Here are 10 of them. Can you identify with any of these?

The world is trying to keep you stupid. People who are not educated are easier to lead and easier to get money from.

1.       You should read as much as you can.

2.       If you feel weird about something during a relationship, that’s usually what you end up breaking up over.

3.       It’s important to have as much contact with older people as possible.

4.       You will become more conservative over time.

5.       While you are living on the cheap, solve the money problem and think ahead into the future.

6.       Sleeping well is extremely important.

7.       Get a reminder app for everything so you don’t have to trust your own brain to remember everything.

8.       Choose something huge to do and set goals to get there.

9.       Don’t try to “fix” anyone. Look for someone who isn’t broken.

10.   Don’t become overly reliant on your tech gadgets

Things to brighten the new year…

Aquion Energy AHI Technology

Clean, cheap energy storage for home or office…Most stationary batteries store energy but are made from highly toxic or flammable materials.  The new AHI battery relies on a salt water based electrolyte to carry the charge.  Non-toxic and low cost and it can’t overheat.  It has a long life cycle and can be scaled for home use of the grid.

Kohler Introduces the touchless flush kit…

Hands-Free Toilet Tech

Kohler’s kit converts nearly any toilet into a hands-free model.  A proximity sensor mounted under the tank lid projects a three-inch field.  At the first wave of a hand, the sensor relays a signal to a small battery-powered motor connected to the flush valve – about $99

Gorilla Clear Repair Tape

Invisible Duct Tape

Duct tape is a great tool, just ask Red Green.  But it is ugly.  Gorilla Clear looks like packing tape, but it has extra adhesive and doesn’t yellow with sun.  It can invisibly mend a window, cracked head lamp or shattered phone screen.
