How close is a US collapse

How close is a U.S. collapse?

With a raft of anti-gun executive orders out of the White House, and the "Earn It" act (to remove all online privacy) being re-proposed for a third time, and new Equal Rights Amendment (special privileges for the few!) proposed by Sen Chuck Schumer (Communist-NY), the President and Congress continue to ignore the will of the people.

They didn’t change our name from America to Gulag nor arrest us in the middle of the night. Instead, congress and the unelected pointy-headed cubicle dwellers stalking the halls of power have passed laws and regulations and presidents have signed executive orders putting American people directly and absolutely on a path towards the 10 planks of the Communist Manifesto.

And you know what? These laws were passed "legally" and sanctimoniously under the color of law right under our noses. When we vote Republicrat or Democan, we are not voting in a free election. We are merely rubber-stamping an entrenched bureaucratic system under the pretense of American Democracy.

The denizens of our "Democracy" have concluded they are no longer accountable to the people, but have determined to do the will of their masters, the moneyed elites. People wonder why our congressmen and senators would do this to us. The answer is quite simple. Power.

The people who want central, powerful government are always ready to seize power. And they have been solidly in power in the U.S. for over 100 years. Plainly stated, an elite group rules no matter which political party appears to be in power.

The men in political power under any party name keep themselves and their buddies in power to keep mass corruption covered up. The same bureaucrats are always in charge so as to keep a tight lid on in order to prevent exposure.

Somehow election after election we hear the same thing and get the same thing from whoever is in power. Anyway, it's not the politicians in power, but it's the powerful faceless people behind the scenes who pull the strings.

Everything is gradual at first and toward the end the rot sets in and cultural collapse becomes obvious. A defining characteristic of failing or collapsing government is stepped-up aggressiveness, not least toward its own citizens. Do you see it? The elected elites responded to the rise of the Tea Party with slander and special targeting by several government agencies like the Internal Revenue Service and the Environmental Protection Agency. And have you noticed that the U.S. is now generally anti-entrepreneurial and anti-small business with stepped-up regulations on small businesses? This small business administrative burden is nothing less than government harassment.

The questions are how much longer will the people tolerate this "long train of abuses and usurpations," and is it the grand design of the regime’s globalist masters to push Americans to the brink in order to hasten the collapse?

We are fast approaching a time when the American system will either collapse under the weight of big government, or an incident will prompt an uprising of the people. The Founding Fathers recognized this possibility.

In a letter to William Stephens Smith, Thomas Jefferson wrote, "And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?"

Perhaps it’s time to remind them, for as James Madison (as Helvidius) wrote, "If there be a principle that ought not to be questioned within the United States, it is, that every nation has a right to abolish an old government and establish a new one. This principle is not only recorded in every public archive, written in every American heart, and sealed with the blood of a host of American martyrs; but is the only lawful tenure by which the United States hold their existence as a nation."

An elitist bureaucracy that wants everyone to behave like obedient sheep is likewise enslaved to one idea that is a wrong one. But as long as we stay vigilant and fight back against that wrong idea, there’s hope for a freer future. The fight begins with liberty. Human liberty is only available to the individualist. Individualism and human liberty are opposite of democracy. We must abolish the idea of "democracy" and re-establish our Republic if we want to be free of our masters in Congress and the White House. They should serve us, not the other way around.

The Tea Party was successful in removing some of the old guard of the elected class and installing some of their own in government. Though some of the newly elected lawmakers turned out to be wolves in sheep’s clothing, many of the Tea Party-backed Congressional candidates continue to work to disrupt the old guard party apparatus and attempt to reign in big government, much to the chagrin of the statists.

In New Hampshire, there are now 40 elected Free Staters in the state legislature. It has taken a concerted effort, but The Free State Project, for example, has thousands of folks migrating to the state for the sake of liberty.

A change toward freedom can occur, but it will be ugly for those who — blinded by normalcy bias or just ignorance — aren’t prepared. Once we come through the fire, then, I believe, Constitutional governance can be restored.

Yours for the truth,

Unbelievably, the fate of the U.S. economy still rests squarely on the preservation of stock values and ever more worldwide financial speculation.

A recent report authored by Claudio Borio, Robert McCauley and Patrick McGuire for the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) revealed that the mount of derivative debt foreign banks hold is "staggering," according to U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.

How massive is their exposure? The report said, "For banks headquartered outside the United States, dollar debt from these instruments is estimated at $39 trillion, more than double their on-balance sheet dollar debt and more than 10 times their capital."

Financial institutions have not stopped building more complex derivatives to offload risk. Worse, they're offloading it to one another… and even worse, the European banks are surely relying on U.S. banks as counterparties to those derivatives.

In today's unpredictable world, it's more important than ever to be prepared for any disaster that may come your way. Whether it's a natural disaster, a pandemic, or a man-made crisis, having the knowledge and skills to survive can mean the difference between life and death.

Journalist and popular author Michael Snyder says his new book “End Times” is revealing just what he predicted.  The bad news is it’s going to get worse, much worse.  Let’s begin with the banking crisis that is really just getting started

Pessimism about our future under Biden Increases…

Looking ahead to 2050, many Americans see a country in decline and worry about the nation's economy, global role, and political divisions. However, a majority say they have at least some confidence in the future of the U.S.

Your Privacy & [Probably] Security Dumped on Again

In the name of fighting against cyber attacks, Barack Obama wants to change the rules that protect your personal data. You see, the real motherlode of data on Americans currently sits in private hands.

But Obama wants to move the data into the claws of law enforcement agencies.

The goal is to have private sector companies give even more information to the government, in exchange for protection against lawsuits for the misuse of data.

It's a beneficial deal for the companies and the government, but what this deal implies for the consumer is downright frightening...

Our paranoid White House and Congress…

What doesn’t the government monitor or collect on citizens?

Anti-Freedom zealots like corrupt socialists Chuck Schumer and Obama have been engineering IRS attacks on the tea party and other pro-freedom groups…

Even the Congressional Quarterly  puzzled in its May 20th issue that instead of tough questions and procedural roadblocks up against better funded conservative groups, the IRS (under the direction of Obama)”instead pursued 100s of smaller groups operating on shoestring budgets.”

The administration and its allies are pushing for legislation that would force political groups to reveal their donors to the IRS, effectively regulating free speech.

Our thoughts, but they're working on that. The right to privacy, or from Justice Brandeis's overly broad understanding: "the right to be left alone," is fundamental to a civilized society. We each choose the amount of information about ourselves we want to disseminate to other members of our society. Each of us has different levels of comfort about when and which information is disseminated and to whom. Some information that we would share with our best friends, we would not want divulged to a complete stranger.  In most situations, the information most of us would share with a complete stranger would max out with our first name. Yet, without our knowledge or consent, because we live in a technological society, our personal information is being vacuumed up by strangers who exercise the power of the state.

Government Creates Problems then offers ‘Solutions’ – Another technique of control!

If you are the one to create the problem in the first place, without the masses knowing you did, while also providing the solution that happens to be in line with your agenda, you have just got exactly what you wanted, with mass acceptance you might not have achieved the goal in any other way.  This is also referred to as a hegelian dialectic strategy.

Just create enough chaos and disarray to push ordinary people towards a new agenda… An example: Take a mass shooting. Once perpetrated and plastered all over the media, the average person cries out for a way to ensure it never happens again.

Think back 20 years ago.  If the government had suggested implanting all Americans with a chip so they could be tracked, everyone would have been in an uproar.  But Americans have conveniently jumped right in to being tagged and tracked like good sheeple through the use of cell phones.

The Constitution-skirting Obama sees freedom advocates as a national security threat.  Obviously paranoid and, one of his radio addresses last summer complained:

“Attack ads run by shadowy groups with harmless sounding names.  We don’t know who is behind those ads and we don’t know who’s paying for them…perhaps foreign-controlled corporations.  If they don’t don’t want to disclose who they are, they must have something to hide.”

Even the liberal New York Times penned a stinging editorial in June blasting Obama for his prying into journalist’s activities”The administration has now lost all credibility, proving the truism that the executive branch will use any power it is given and very likely will abuse it.”

When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, "This you may not read, this you may not see, this you are forbidden to know," the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives. Mighty little force is needed to control a man whose mind has been hoodwinked; contrariwise, no amount of force can control a free man, a man whose mind is free. No, not the rack, not fission bombs, not anything -- you can't conquer a free man; the most you can do is kill him."
-- Robert A. Heinlein

PM’s Roundup of Useful Resources…

You can get an RV solar power kit in any size configuration and the cost is very affordable.

Sometimes we have to look at the world and our situation differently to see the real value of things like RV Solar Power Kits, like the ones from UL Solar.
They don’t just need to be used on an RV anymore.

We started thinking of them as a backup power system for all of our vehicles and thought we had a new idea.

RV solar kits are a wonderful way to extend the amount of time that can possibly be spent camping in an RV.  We plan to use one or two on our small hide-away cabin.
By utilizing solar power, the normal energy options may be greatly supplemented or entirely supplanted.
With
solar panels, you can rely far less on generators and batteries.
There are several RV solar kits on the market today.  Here’s one I found on eBay.  Available in 200 to 600 Watts.

Are Electric Cars Bad for the Environment?
If it is electric, it must be good. As you might expect, that is the general consensus around PCMag. We are a bunch of freaks and geeks that can't wait to get out hand on the next hot gadget, whatever it is. Fortunately our resident green tech guru, Ibrahim Abdul-Matin, is around to remind us that there is sometimes a downside to all our technological wonders. And even electric vehicles may not be all they appear to be.

Smartphone Privacy Tips

Using your phone at public WI-FI locations leave you vulnerable to thieves.  Before doing financial transactions or using a service where you need to input a password, turn off your Wi-Fi and switch to your phone’s more secure 3G/4G mode and further protection is offered from sites that begin with https://, a more secure site.

Privacy at the hands of the government has been kicked to the curb…Since the passage of the rights bashing Patriot Act, you can no longer get pre-paid debit cards without providing a Social Security number, something which was against the law (Privacy Act of 1974) at one time…a domestic alternative is get pre-filled gift cards.  American Express, Visa and Mastercard all offer them.  Instead of giving up your privacy to the IRS and other which troll social networking sites, use Privly (www.priv.ly)  which makes it impossible for others to control or own data…they also keep your email host (Gmail, Yahoo) from reading your emails or turning them over to warrantless so-called authorities.

The Nanny State-We love our government

Lawsuit Against NSA to Continue Despite Government Objection

A federal judge has overruled the U.S. government's objection that allowing a five-year-old lawsuit against the National Security Agency (NSA) to continue will endanger national security. While U.S. District Judge Jeffrey White's ruling is not a final decision, it does bode well for the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the organization that filed the lawsuit in 2008 to contest a NSA warrantless surveillance program that targeted Americans' confidential electronic communications. "Given the multiple public disclosures of information regarding the surveillance program, the Court does not find that the very subject matter of the suits constitutes a state secret,"…

The Privacy 'Threat Matrix'
By Dr. David Eifrig, editor, Retirement Millionaire

We've identified government as the core of the privacy threat matrix. It "sets the table" for rampant privacy violations. Unfortunately, private companies and corporations are almost as bad as the government…

The cozy relationship between government snooping agencies and dominant corporations like Verizon and Google is bad enough in its own right. But where government snooping tends to impact your civil liberties the hardest, corporate privacy violations may have an immediate impact on your wallet.

The widespread use of credit cards, online banking, and smartphones has created several holes in your personal privacy "firewall." If this information falls into the wrong hands, your credit, even your savings, can get erased in a blink.

The good news is, protecting yourself from these risks is simple. Follow the suggestions below to keep your business, credit, and personal activities as secure as possible.

1. Slow, even freeze, your credit. The mass centralization of credit scores into just a few hands (there are only three credit rating bureaus) is dangerous. A negative blemish in one area of a person's credit sphere has the potential to cause a catastrophic loss of his creditworthiness to all businesses across the board.

The blemish could have been accidental (for example, a reporting error by one firm), or intentional (credit cards or whole identities stolen by thieves). It really doesn't matter how it occurs… the results are the same: You may be locked out of the credit markets for years. Even when you do regain some access to credit, your interest rates may remain sky high.

The average American does not realize how vulnerable his creditworthiness is… until it is too late. But there is a solution…

You can limit, even freeze, the issuance of new credit under your name.

Limiting the issuance of new credit just means establishing an extra layer of credit security, across the board. You can do this by issuing a "fraud alert" for your credit. (You don't have to suspect your credit has already been hacked to do this.) It's free and takes less than two minutes to do. You'll even get a free update of your credit report in the process.

Once the fraud alert is active, lenders are to double check with you whenever new credit is requested and verify you did the asking. Here's how to set this up…

Go to the website of any of the three credit-rating bureaus (Equifax, Transunion, or Experian)

Search for "Fraud Alert"

Submit the appropriate information

Once the alert is active, it lasts for 90 days

You can renew the alert every 90 days, indefinitely

For active-duty military, the alert lasts one year, and can be renewed indefinitely

It's important to note that this measure does not stop the issuance of new credit… but it does make the process more accountable to you. It's a great, free way to establish an additional layer of credit security.

If a fraud alert doesn't give you enough peace of mind, you can take things a step further. You can place a freeze on any new credit issuance. This method is typically not free, but it does ensure that no lender will issue new credit in your name. It locks your credit profile and prevents any lender from accessing it.

The fee to freeze your credit profile is minimal and varies depending on the state in which you reside. It ranges from free to $10. The credit bureaus may charge to both "freeze" and "unfreeze" your profile. It takes a few business days for the changes to apply.

If you are in the market for a home or business loan, you may want to avoid doing this. But if you have no new credit needs, this technique brings great safety and peace of mind.

Search for "freeze" on any of the three credit bureaus' websites and follow their instructions.

2. Monitor your credit for free. There is a free service called CreditKarma. This service monitors your credit every day, and sends you an e-mail if it detects any significant change. It also creates a CreditKarma score similar to the FICO credit score.

The website also helps you do debt analysis and suggests how to improve your scores. It even extrapolates what type of interest rates to expect for various purchases like houses and vehicles. And again, this is all free.

With this tool, there's no excuse for anyone not to have a firm grip on his credit. You can check out their website
here.

A similar service is called LifeLock. This company charges for many of the same things that CreditKarma does not. But LifeLock also boasts a $1 million guarantee if someone hijacks your credit or identity "on their watch." LifeLock charges between $10 and $25 per month, depending on the suite of services you order. You can visit its website
here.

3. Get a temporary credit card number. You can get a temporary credit card number. Most major cards offer this service. Log onto your card's website and search for "temporary card number" or call them directly. They should be able to give you an alternative number to use for your next transaction.

Depending on the company and your own preferences, this number may be good for one transaction or for unlimited transactions up to a certain pre-determined date. You may also be able to set maximum credit amounts for this "virtual card."

One of my favorite ways to use a temporary card number is for limited, free trials. Let's say I get the first month free, but then must pay monthly after that. I can establish a temporary number that's good for one month only. Then, if I really want the service and trust the company, I can supply them with my regular payment details later.

Internet transaction king PayPal also offers this option. You can establish your own temporary PayPal numbers by looking under the "Profile" section of your account. Click the "secure cards" link and then select "generate new card." You can then specify rules for how you want to use your temporary "virtual" card.

4. Use your credit card to enhance your privacy. I've discovered a trick that will allow you to stay in a hotel using a credit card and no one will know you're there…

Credit card companies give you the ability to request multiple cards for one account. Parents add their children onto their own account in this way. But you can also add a "stage name" or "professional name" to your account… and use this when booking a hotel room.

When providing ID to the desk clerk, use your passport (for added security – it doesn't show your home address). If questioned why the card differs from your picture ID, just explain it is your business or professional name. There shouldn't be an issue.

I first learned of this trick when I read the great privacy masterpiece, How to be Invisible, by J.J. Luna. I recommend it to all those looking to "plug the holes" in their privacy firewalls.
