Unriddling the Radical Worldview of President Obama

    "In times of universal deceit,
telling the truth will be a revolutionary act."
-- George Orwell

The ideological roots of America’s president are more radical than most people realize. Understanding this history is vital to understanding America’s future. From a murky background this man came from a background of street organizer in Chicago without any meaningful job history or military background to suddenly becoming leader of our nation. His policies have led our nation to record number of people on welfare, a record deficit [with the help of Republicans]- $18,795,033,928,275.59 on December 21st, 2015, and a faltering in our world standing…

By Andrew Miiller

The man famously known as “America’s Mayor” made news headlines last year by asserting that President Barack Obama has been influenced by Communists since his youth.

“From the time he was 9 years old, he was influenced by Frank Marshall Davis, who was a Communist,” former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said in an interview with the New York Post (Feb. 21, 2015). The man famed for his role in rebuilding New York after the 9/11 attacks and one-time Republican presidential candidate then elaborated on how Stanley Dunham, the president’s grandfather, introduced the young Barack Obama to the now-famous Communist activist back in 1970.

Later in the interview, Giuliani highlighted how President Obama had also been influenced by the teachings of socialist community organizer Saul Alinsky and Black Liberation Theology preacher Jeremiah Wright. “He doesn’t talk about America the way John Kennedy and Ronald Reagan did, about America’s greatness and exceptionalism,” Giuliani continued. “He was educated by people who were critics of the U.S.”

In response to these comments, the White House press office and most of the mainstream media tried to paint Giuliani as a tragic figure—who may once have been a great man, but is now just a sidewalk lunatic. “I can tell you that it’s sad to see when somebody who has attained a certain stature and even admiration tarnishes that legacy so thoroughly,” said press secretary Josh Earnest. “There’s no element of schadenfreude that people are feeling around here. What people are feeling is sorry for Rudy Giuliani.”
It is strange, however, that political figures on both sides of the aisle dismissed Giuliani’s claims so casually.

Even mainstream news anchor Tom Brokaw admitted the press never vetted candidate Obama. How can people be so sure the president wasn’t influenced by a radical leftist political ideology?

While many scoff at the notion of any connection of the president to Marxism, few have actually studied the matter for themselves. Instead, they dismiss any mention of radical leftism in Obama’s past by characterizing it as an attempt to paint the president as a KGB agent or closet Bolshevik.

President Obama’s own bestselling 1995 autobiography Dreams From My Father shows that he was profoundly influenced by Frank Marshall Davis, and by many others who were at least sympathetic to Marxist ideology. Barack Obama’s ideological roots are far more radical than the general public has been led to believe. We must consider the facts of his ideological roots if we want to understand where the Obama administration is leading America!

A light bulb went off in my head the other day when my husband turned to me and said, "You make more money selling junk than you do in stocks." I had to chuckle when he said that, but in reality, there is a lot of truth to his comment. Last week, I lost $160 in stocks, but I made over $400 in one month selling junk that I found in people's trash. Read more.

Google on Cyber Monday released a list of the gifts trending on its search engine. Among the top searches were for drones and smart watches. You can expect to see many of these gadgets unwrapped this holiday season.  The FAA announced that everyone who buys or received a drone for Christmas must register ownership or face rather hefty fine…

Awesome old toys that you won't find in stores today
Here’s a cool old commercial for a toy set that you won’t be able to find in stores these days: the Tommy Burst Detective Set.
In addition to the Tommy Burst is a nifty toy Thompson submachine gun. Like the Thompson, it fires from an open bolt (kind of) and fires a burst of shots. It also offers select-fire so you can shoot one shot at a time, if you prefer. Heck, it even has folding sights!

What Will You do When They Come for You?

"Tyranny seldom announces itself. ...
In fact, a tyranny may exist without an individual tyrant.
A whole government, even a democratically elected one, may be tyrannical."

-- Joseph Sobran

What Happens When they Come for You?

There are those who insist that if you’ve done nothing wrong and have nothing to hide, you shouldn’t worry about the government eavesdropping on your phone calls, reading your emails, searching your car or ransacking your possessions.

Clearly, these individuals have not been paying close attention in recent years.

The government doesn’t care if you’re guilty or innocent or whether its agents are violating your rights. What the government wants is power and control at the expense of our freedoms.

The Treasury and Justice Departments deposited more in civil asset forfeitures in 2014 than the FBI reported in burglary losses during that time frame.

Yes, the Feds confiscated more from Americans than burglars.
Legalized theft is very lucrative for our government.

Police abuse of civil asset forfeiture laws has shaken our nation’s conscience.

Nearly every level of government mismanages money, over pays itself and has a never-ending, voracious appetite for more of your money and a desire to restrict more of your freedom…

Nobody really knows how much power the government has…it has invaded every aspect of our lives and Americans are losing more and more of their rights every year!

With the rise in militarization of our police and the growing mistrust of the government, America has become more divided now than it has been in decades. I asked readers:  Has civil asset forfeiture become a way to fund local, state and federal law enforcement? Another way to strike terror at citizens to keep them quiet and pliable or has law enforcement just gotten better at finding the criminals?

Here are some of the responses we received:

From Daniel A.

This is not America anymore. Back in the ‘50s and ‘60s, a lot of movies were made about Eastern Europe and how you had no rights, were spied on, were afraid to talk, were afraid of the police and government and could be arrested for nothing and go to prison without a trial.
Man on a String and Escape From East Berlin were two such movies. I used to look at those movies and be glad that I lived in a free country. Those movies were scary. Now in 2015, I'm living in that same atmosphere; the only difference is they have not stopped everyone from leaving if they want and they have not opened the camps. Thanks to you Sovereign people, I have a real and solid plan that does not include buying food and hiding in a cave.

From Robert C.

Ladies and gentlemen: As the government at all levels gets larger, our liberties are put at risk. It has happened throughout all of world history. It is a shame that we have not learned from our previous mistakes, which are many! There are three critical mistakes that we made in the 20th century that we have yet to correct: going off the gold standard, creating the third central bank and using the tax code to influence human behavior! Since the Federal Reserve was created on December 23, 1913, inflation on a cumulative basis has gone up 2,200%, and purchasing power of our dollar has been reduced by over 90%!

“[A]s government grows to encompass more spheres of activity—from health care to finance to the Internet—agencies will be able to issue fewer written rules yet still expand control. They will not need a law from Congress, notice-and-comment rules, or perhaps even interpretive guidance or memos.” [Internal citations omitted.] —Clyde Wayne Crews, “Mapping Washington’s Lawlessness 2016: A Preliminary Investigation of ‘Regulatory Dark Matter’,” Competitive Enterprise Institute, December 2015

Red or Blue: What Happens When YOU Are Put On A List? “If You’re On That List, Your Right Is Cancelled”

Secret lists are becoming the law of the land. Overseas, Obama uses a secret list to authorize the killing of suspects (and bystanders) via drone strike. Execution, as determined by “secretive processes, without indictment or trial.” Some of those killed have been American citizens.

Secret lists have been used to determine who can fly on a plane, who is worth watching as a potential terrorist, and who can travel. None of this necessarily requires that a crime has been committed, or that the individual in question has done anything wrong.

But it won’t stop there.

7 Ways That You (Yes, You) Could End Up On A Terrorist Watch List

If you were to be mistakenly added to a list, you probably wouldn't know -- unless it stopped you from flying. The government has been extremely secretive about the names on the various watch lists. If you were to learn that you were wrongly placed on a watch list, good luck getting off it. As Scahill and Devereaux reported, you can file a complaint with the Department of Homeland Security's Traveler Redress Inquiry Program, which begins a review "that is not subject to oversight by any court or entity outside the counterterrorism community."

The myth of upward mobility in America continues to evaporate.

Not since the Great Depression have we seen such a lack of social mobility where most adults no longer believe their children will do better…Americans born at the bottom of the ladder are in fact are now less likely to rise to the top than those situated in most other nations, and only HALF as likely as their Canadian counterparts.

The proportion of children born on the bottom rung of society who rise to the top in the USA is 7.5% - lower than in the UK [9%], Denmark [11.7%], and Canada [13.5%].

These numbers should shock Americans but most aren’t even aware nor is it being aired on the nightly news.  Political leaders like Obama continue to paint a false picture of the American Dream when their policies of over regulation and political ego help to ensure our decline.

The economy is stuck and the types of jobs being created are mainly part time crap wage jobs and labor productivity has averaged 1.6% since 1974 while earning power in America has flatlined [except for the top one percent].  Our overly complicated and unfair tax system is also helping to drive away business and all the while, the only concern of most politicians is their continual quest at reelection to feed at the public trough.

Bureaucrats continue to saddle the nation with burdensome, costly regulations which are destroying existing business and inhibiting entrepreneurism at rates that I’ve never seen in my lifetime.

How do you conquer a nation without firing a shot? Leading Progressives like John Dewey came up with the answer over a century ago. Just embed your agenda into the educational system, and in a few generations you will transform the country.

Political Progressives had little use for America’s founding principles. Woodrow Wilson, the first progressive president, complained that “some citizens of this country have never got beyond the Declaration of Independence,” and said the Declaration was “of no consequence” to modern Americans. This view now dominates in our public schools.

And educational Progressives had little use for traditional teaching methods and purposes. Rather than teaching the Great Books of the Western tradition, Dewey recommended education as social development. The past century has seen curricular and teaching excellence replaced with short-lived theories rarely lasting more than a generation.

As a result, many public schools are no longer effective at teaching reading, writing, and arithmetic. They also no longer teach young Americans the history of their country—how it was founded on the principle of equal rights, and how it grew to become the freest and most prosperous nation in history.

Good citizenship is impossible without this knowledge about America, and as a result our liberty is fading fast.

Fewer Crowds, Fewer Dollars, Fewer Freedoms in 2015

Fewer Crowds, Fewer Freedoms, Fewer Dollars…

There was a pushback among some consumers and retailers this year against being open for business on Thanksgiving Day and the so-called Black Friday in general and it worked….there were fewer crowds at the malls.

This was due to an increase in online shopping and the fact there are fewer Americans with extra money According to a survey by the National Retail Federation, Black Friday attendance was down over 3%, from 58.7% last year to 55.1% this year.

The survey noted that the average shopper was expected to spend $380.95, which was down from $407.02 the previous year. According to the group’s estimates, sales slipped from $57.4 billion to $50.9 billion.

“A strengthening economy that changes consumers’ reliance on deep discounts, a highly competitive environment, early promotions, and the ability to shop 24/7 online all contributed to the shift witnessed this weekend,” said NRF president and CEO Matthew Shay.

I read a report in Time magazine that even auto dealers are now pushing six and seven year loans or leases and Americans are becoming ‘upside down’ auto loans just as they did with mortgages!

Wall Street, fearful that consumers are running out of cash heading into the crucial Christmas retail season, are selling off retail stocks and everything else sensitive to consumer spending.
So why are consumers running out of cash?

Well, as I’ve reported before, it is because the middle class is dying, poverty in America is exploding and the cost of living continues to soar.

Just look at what is happening to healthcare costs.  It turns out that employees that work for medium and large companies in the U.S. are now paying more than double for health insurance than they were a decade ago…

Employees of midsize and large companies in 2015 paid an average of $4,700 for their health insurance, up from $2,001 in 2005, according to recent analysis from Aon Hewitt.

America Falls – Again
The last time I wrote about this, the United States stood at number 13, now we stand at number 20…if you’ve found yourself feeling less free you’re right!  A new report published last month that measures and ranks how much personal, civil and economic freedom there is 152 countries shows bad news for the US – dropped again to number 20

Income inequality has become a key hot button issue in the modern day political spectrum. While these economic and class divides seem more pronounced than ever before, the impressive new documentary Plutocracy: Political Repression in the USA reveals that the core of these struggles pre-date the beginnings of the industrialized labor force. The long and painful journey towards achieving worker rights and fair wages has been marked by violence, discrimination, and inhumane exploitation.

A Parting Thought…
Situational Awareness…or the lack of is the number one reason citizens get into trouble.  One of the priorities I was taught in the military was to be aware of your surroundings at all times.  Few people today seem to have any awareness.  Instead, they have their head buried in their cell phone, walking and talking or texting, often to the point where they can be easily robbed or injured…just plain stupid and pointless.  Wake up America and pull your head out of your ass!

Yours for better living,
