 Why we finally abandoned eBay

My wife and I have used eBay as both buyer and seller for more than 20 years.  Results from it have steadily decreased over the years while its idiot policies have lost us and many others.  Despite our longstanding participation eBay now wanted us to link a bank account directly to them [including our socialist slave number] and they required that we upload our drivers permit [due to their insane sizing, etc., ours wouldn’t take despite nine attempts] so we gave up.

My wife spoke with a rep and asked the CSR why this sudden need for ID despite our being a member for 20 years…the CSR evaded answering several times.

I think we’ve figured out their ‘sudden need.’

It’s due to the Great Reset I wrote about several months ago.  The new “social contract” that ties you through an electronic ID linked to your bank account [soon to come: a link to your health records and social credit score; just like the restrictive/controlling Communist Chinese].

This has everything to do with long term monitoring of your actions via digital surveillance and artificial intelligence/Big Data collection…the digitization of industry/technocracy/social rule. The long term goal is to further a tech driven social engineering.

Thank goodness I never bothered buying a so-called ‘smart phone’ which is a tool used for social engineering and spying on citizens…your phone, just like Dominion voting machines, can be easily hacked [these systems were outlawed a decade ago but ‘mysteriously’ made their way back under ‘new’ ownership.

We'll keep our account open in order to make purchases, but our selling days with this service are over-we've put on our thinking hats to explore other selling channels and despite its lackluster performance, we'll keep our Bonanza site.

NOTE:  Reminder...we donate a portion of our proceeds to VFW, Wounded Warriors and other veteran groups.

As Joseph Stalin [hero to our domestic commies] said: “People who cast votes decide nothing. The people who count votes decide everything.”

SIDEBAR:

Consumer prices jumped over 4-percent since last April, the highest amount in 12 years. If sales at your local store or supermarket don't seem as sharp as they used to be, it's not your imagination. At Christmas Tree Shops (not a holiday store) some items that were $3.99 were restickered $4.99. Baskets of items usually $1 are now $1.29. Stop & Shop is advertising English muffins this week 2 for $3, when the usual sale price is 99 cents. (Remember when these were three or four for a dollar?) Aldi raised the price of their saltines to 99 cents from 79 cents (and many other things are no longer bargains there). What price increases have you noticed in stores? Add your observations here (or read others').

Prepping in your golden years: How survival strategies change as you get older

Financial writer, market analyst and precious metals expert Craig Hemke predicted last year (about this time) that silver was headed way up.  It was up more than 45% for 2020 and was one of the best performing assets of the year.  Now, Hemke is predicting “another 45% rise for silver” and a nice ride up for gold, too.  Hemke explains, “Look at all of the commodities here.  Lumber is up five times.  Iron ore is at new all-time highs.  Soybeans are at new multi-decade highs.  Corn, which goes into everything . . . and all these commodities are taking off, which is, in large part, a dollar debasement story:

“The US Senate is considering new legislation called the INFORM Act, which would require Etsy to collect, verify, and display seller contact information on product listing pages. For many home-based business owners, this legislation would mean sharing your personal information widely online, including your full name, home address, telephone number, and email address.
“Lawmakers have simply not considered how this bill would impact the privacy, safety, and security of Etsy sellers who run their businesses from their homes. That’s why they need to hear from you!”
An EcommerceBytes reader forwarded the email that sported the subject line, “Etsy sellers: Protect your privacy by opposing the Cassidy INFORM Amendment.” The seller wrote, “I’m thinking of contacting the Senators sponsoring this and asking for their home address and phone number. Think they’ll comply?”
