Economic Gaslighting: Leftists plan to blame conservatives for crash

A lot of information about the future can be derived simply by watching the behavior of establishment elitists and their political puppets. The manner in which they spin the narrative is often a signal for what is about to happen next. In the case of the economic crisis, when the establishment starts pre-scapegoating conservatives for a crash, it's a good bet that a crash is about to happen in the near term.

And, by "crash" I mean a nexus-level event in which everyone in the mainstream is aware of the threat. I'm not talking about ongoing declines or ongoing instability. Most people in the alternative media are well aware that the U.S. economy and the global economy are weakening by the day. No, what I am talking about is a shock and awe moment that hits the entire population regardless of how oblivious they normally are, an undeniable disaster.

For example, there were many alarm bells leading up to the stock market crash of 1929. The Great Depression was a process, not a singular moment in which everything suddenly broke. But, unless you were one of the few Austrian economists following the indicators at the time, most people had no clue what was about to happen until the crash event.

The same thing goes for the credit crisis of 2008. There were many in the alternative media (and some government representatives like Ron Paul) warning about the dangers in the housing market and debt markets well before the crash was triggered. For people like us, the crash is already happening, but for the average Joe, there is no such thing as a crisis until the consequences are sitting at their doorstep and their bank accounts are drained.

Even now, after a couple of years of global lockdowns (only a few months in many red states in the U.S.), supply chain disruptions and a crushing stagflationary environment, there are still a lot of people out there that refuse to accept the possibility that the house of cards could be toppling over. Then there are political conmen like Joe Biden consistently trying to sell the public on the idea that "all is well" and we're living in an economic renaissance.

Despite Biden's penchant for dementia, this is not a delusional claim, just a dishonest one. The singular basis for the White House's argument that the system is healthy is the low unemployment numbers. Of course, those numbers have been exposed on occasion as being rigged, as we saw last year when the Philly Fed revised and removed 1 million jobs from BLS data as an "error" in labor reporting, saying the White House "overstated" job creation.

But let's say that the labor stats are mostly correct and that the jobs market is awash in openings. What actually caused this?  Well, it's important to understand that just because labor stats look good on the surface it does not mean they are robust.

The catalyst for the spike in employment is simple. Around $8 trillion in pandemic stimulus in the span of two years was pumped directly into the economy. This helicopter money, along with state/federal moratoriums on rent, PPP loans and other measures left stacks of cash in the hands of average Americans. And, in states with extensive lockdowns, those people had very little to do except shop and spend.

To put this dynamic in perspective: Millions of Americans did not have to work for many months, but still had unemployment benefits along with covid cash and they didn't have to pay rent. That's $8 trillion of easy money flooding the system and a lot of it going into the retail and service sector.

Of course jobs exploded. Those jobs were bought by the Federal Reserve and the White House with fiat dollars in the name of COVID. This was not natural job growth, it was utterly artificial, and such employment bonanzas are also short-lived. It is an unsustainable policy to buy jobs with inflated money.

Stagflationary problems have been creeping into the U.S. economy ever since the crash of 2008, but it was the avalanche of pandemic cash printed from thin air by the Fed that finally broke the camel's back. Yes, we had a huge spike in lower-wage retail and service sector jobs, but we also had a huge spike in price inflation. Today, the pressures of inflation along with rising Fed interest rates are creating a perfect storm; a recipe for a financial implosion that will trigger mass job losses this year and probably a crash in stock markets.

The COVID money has run out and all that's left is unaffordable prices and fiscal tightening. The establishment knows exactly what is about to happen next and they are preparing. Not with solutions for hard times or with suggestions for the public on how to protect themselves. No, they are preparing by setting up scapegoats. The first scapegoat is Russia and the war in Ukraine, but this narrative may be replaced with the claim that conservatives are the actual culprits behind everyone's misery.

Joe Biden and others have asserted this fantasy on a number of occasions, but now that the House is under the control of Republicans the attacks are flying that conservatives are about to wreck the system. Biden made this exact accusation recently.

Biden rails against the Republican effort to create a Fair Tax, falsely claiming that the sales tax would be 30 percent even though the bill suggests 23 percent. The bill is designed to drive government revenues through sales taxes while ending income taxes, estate taxes and abolishing the IRS. Whether or not you agree with the scale of the tax, most conservatives would agree that the IRS needs to go. The agency has been used as a weapon against conservatives and liberty groups ever since the Obama administration and, frankly, the income tax never should have been created in the first place. Enforcing taxation at the barrel of a gun is not freedom.

The real powder keg, however, is the battle over the debt ceiling. The U.S. government hit its borrowing limit on Jan. 19, and the perpetual argument has been that the debt ceiling must be increased every year or the U.S. may default on its Treasury obligations to foreign investors. Any suggestion that government spending be cut in order to pay off debts is met with indignant fury. The "only solution" according to Democrats (and Neo-Cons) is to spend more.

It should be noted that past debt ceiling debates have always ended with the GOP complaining about expanding government but eventually capitulating and signing off on another increase. In this way, one could say that Republicans (not true conservatives) share in the blame for our current predicament.

This one might be different, though, given the greater number of representatives that are being called "far-right extremists" when it comes to reducing the size of government. As soon as any legitimate fiscal conservatives have a measure of political power, the mainstream media and the White House start talking about collapse.

Another factor to consider is that a debt ceiling "crisis" might also provide cover for establishment elites and the Federal Reserve as the system breaks down this year. They might just seek to instigate a larger fight with Republicans over U.S. debt as a means to distract the public from the real reasons for coming job losses, stock market losses and overall stagflation. The crash is about to strike and the culprits behind it are planting their narratives ahead of time.

Remember, it was the central bank along with receptive political leaders that created our current financial disaster. Under Obama and Biden, the national debt which took decades to reach $10 trillion doubled to $20 trillion in the span of only eight years. Did Trump contribute to the problem? Yes, but Biden has participated far longer in the amassing of US debt while the Fed has facilitated every cent of inflation.

Conservatives have had very little to do with it. In fact, we have been trying to warn the public for years about what would happen if the trend continues. Yet, now we are being set up as the bad guys (as usual) because we are demanding a change from the corrupt status quo. This is called "gaslighting"; it's the victimization of the citizenry, then accusing the citizenry of villainy when they finally decide to fight back.

Biden's economy is a farce economy. It is an illusion built on paper and false promises. It is a system held together by inflation, debt and misplaced faith. It is going to die; it's inevitable. How it dies is almost irrelevant to the greater question of culpability. Who is really to blame?  Who engineered the crash?

True conservatives that actually defend reductions in government are not the enemy. They never were. The cancer within our system has been gestating for many years now, but if we look at the scale of blame and who did the most damage, that trophy can only go to the political left along with the Federal Reserve. The majority of monetary damage has taken place on their watch and the fact that they continue to lie about the declining health of the U.S. system means they deserve more than distrust; they also deserve punishment.

To truth and knowledge,

Brandon Smith

Analyst and financial writer John Rubino says we’re are in a “debt and death spiral” that will force dramatic changes on the world.  Rubino explains, “The debt spiral part of this means things from here continue to get worse and worse for the big currencies of the world until they die.  In other words, until people lose faith in them,

Nobody before COVID would have expected Canada, as crazy as its regime is, to freeze the bank accounts of hundreds of people protesting the regime. But it happened.

Are there any safeguards against a digital currency issued by a country’s central bank being controlled in such a way that, say, the digital wallets of a whole class of dissidents could simply be turned off?

If the past few years have taught us anything, it’s that we’d better not give these regimes the benefit of the doubt, or assume that their various schemes won’t eventually be put to sinister purposes.

So I strongly recommend you check out John Bush’s 5-day CBDC opt-out challenge, which he is offering for free.

Yes, it’s already started, and yes, the countdown timer is at zero, but you can still join it and watch the replays.

How do you trust a government that continuously sidesteps the Constitution and undermines our rights? You can’t.

When you consider all the ways “we the people” are being bullied, beaten, bamboozled, targeted, tracked, repressed, robbed, impoverished, imprisoned and killed by the government, one can only conclude that you shouldn’t trust the government with your privacy, your property, your life, or your freedoms.

Consider for yourself.

Don’t trust the government with your privacy, digital or otherwise. In the two decades since 9/11, the military-security industrial complex has operated under a permanent state of emergency that, in turn, has given rise to a digital prison that grows more confining and inescapable by the day. Wall-to wall surveillance, monitored by AI software and fed to a growing network of fusion centers, render the twin concepts of privacy and anonymity almost void.

By conspiring with corporations, the Department of Homeland Security “fueled a massive influx of money into surveillance and policing in our cities, under a banner of emergency response and counterterrorism.” For instance, all across the country, police are installing Flock Safety license plate readers as part of a public-private partnership program between police and the surveillance industry.

Don’t trust the government with your property. In yet another effort to legitimize warrantless searches, police are employing “hit-and-hold” tactics in which police enter a home, carry out an initial sweep of the property, handcuff the occupants, then wait for official search warrants to be secured and applied retroactively. In the meantime, police have managed to bypass the Fourth Amendment. The rationale, to prevent possible destruction of evidence, is the same one used to deadly effect with no-knock raids. If government agents can invade your home, break down your doors, kill your dog, damage your furnishings and terrorize your family, your property is no longer private and secure—it belongs to the government.

Remember the purpose of a good government is to protect the lives and liberties of its people.

Unfortunately, what we have been saddled with is, in almost every regard, the exact opposite of an institution dedicated to protecting the lives and liberties of its people.

10 Things To Do First When Bugging In

If you're new to prepping, you may be wondering what bugging in is and why you would need to do it. Bugging in is the act of staying in your home during a disaster or other emergency situation.

This is in contrast to bugging out, which is when you leave your home and go to a predetermined safe location. There are benefits and drawbacks to both bugging in and bugging out, and the best course of action will depend on your individual circumstances.

For example, if you bug in, you won't have to worry about finding shelter or food—two things that can be very difficult to come by in a disaster area. Plus, if you have young children or elderly family members, bugging in may be the best way to ensure their safety and well-being...
