"The
smallest minority on earth is the individual. Those who deny individual rights,
cannot claim to be defenders of minorities. Individual rights are not subject
to a public vote; a majority has no right to vote away the rights of a
minority; the political function of rights is precisely to protect minorities
from oppression by majorities."

How to use Obamacare to scam taxpayers
Six survival tips that you can use every day…
When it comes to survival discussions, everyone gets all excited
and nerdy over the latest and greatest gadget, gizmo, and gear. I suppose it’s
human nature to get more excited about tools other than the most important
survival tool: your brain. Recently I was forcibly exposed to a “drivers
safety” class after getting caught going far beyond the posted speed limit.
Yes, I am a speeder, always have been, and without conscious thought, probably
always will be; a trait I marry with another trait of extreme impatience.
Though I accomplished my goal of having the ticket dismissed and a no points
pulled from my license, I did actually learn a few things about surviving.
Realistically the Mayan,
zombie, EMP, Gas Shortage, economic collapse, and alien invasion probably will
not happen this year, but I will actually need to get to work. Statistically we
have the highest likelihood of dying while driving. So here, I’ll share the
safety tips I learned; even if you think you already know this stuff, it’s
worth getting a refresher. 1. Situational Awareness: The old “Stop, Look,
Listen, & Live” mantra is out, and in is a more relevant “Recognize,
Understand, and Act.” After all, if you see something that is not right when
you are doing 90 in a 60, slamming on your brakes to look around and listen is
not the best course of action. Especially when you are talking to your wife on
the phone and the radar detector goes off while going 90 — it could happen.
Distilling this down, they
noted that an aware person could avoid well over 90% of potential accidents.
Included in this statistic was refraining from legal or illegal mind-altering
substances. - See more at: http://www.alloutdoor.com/2013/07/24/ways-survive-drive-work-ar15-them/#sthash.0pnqrBsl.dpuf
PM’s
Roundup of Useful Resources…
It seems as though everyday here in America, the MSM has some story to publish that portrays preppers in a negative light. As the mouthpiece for the federal government, the majority of MSM agencies are just as guilty of creating blacklists for preppers as the government itself is. These blacklists for preppers are being used to identify anyone and everyone involved with developing a survivalist mentality. In fact the federal government fears those getting involved with the prepping movement, which is one of the reasons they have created blacklists for preppers in the first place.
Why does our federal government feel compelled to generate these blacklists for preppers? There are several theories floating around as to what the primary purpose is behind the creation of these blacklists for preppers. Many of us in the survival movement believe that the real reason the government makes blacklists for preppers is because they realize those of us getting involved are no longer satisfied with the fallacy that everything is under control. There are plenty of us waking up to the facts and taking matters into our own hands. We share this information with others, which stands in direct contrast to what the government wants the sheeple to subscribe to.
reThinkSurvival.com Here’s several common EDC items (e.g.,
belt, multitool, flahlight, etc) to include in your own EDC and how they might
be useful for survival, self defense, and more: “The key to everyday carry (or
EDC) is not burdening yourself with too much nonsense but still having the
necessary tools to take care of yourself whether…

As preppers and survivalists we often share information
about all of the bug out gear you should have in your bag. For novice preppers this can be somewhat confusing
and perplexing. Some of the items we recommend purchasing or obtaining to complete
you survival plans doesn’t always apply to every person
getting started in the realm of survivalism. The survival threat assessment
matrix will help you narrow down the field of items that will be beneficial for
you, your family and your specific situation. If you’ve never heard of the
survival threat assessment matrix, then chances are you probably have several
preps occupying space in your bug out bags that you have no idea how to use or
when to use.
10 Life Hacks From 100 Years Ago
Originally printed on cigarette stiffening cards used to strengthen cigarette packaging during the late 1880′s, it wasn’t long before these cards were use for advertisements, artwork, trivia, and even how to’s. By the 1910s, Gallaher Ltd of Belfast & London and Ogden’s Branch of the Imperial Tobacco Co printed “How-To” series, with clever hints for both everyday and emergency situations, or what we think of today as life hacks. Mental Floss has gathered ten of them to share with you in their article on the topic.
You’ll find the following ten life hacks with an image of the card: how to make a fire extinguisher, how to extract a splinter, how to preserve eggs, how to fell a tree, how to stop a mad dog, how to keep plants watered while away on holiday, how to light a match in the wind, how to make a chair to cross a stream, how to rescue someone from electric shock, and how to make a water filter.
Of all ten, the ones I find the most relevant today are lighting a match in the wind and creating a water filter. http://www.mentalfloss.com/article/51702/10-lifehacks-100-years-ago

Looking for a little extra cash? If you’re interested in defrauding taxpayers, it might be as easy as writing down a number on a form.
The number is your income. The form is the Obamacare application.
If you do not have “affordable” employer-sponsored health insurance and your income is between about $31,800 and $94,200 for a family of four (that is, between 138 percent and 400 percent of the federal poverty level), you qualify for an insurance subsidy through Obamacare.
But when you apply for coverage in the Obamacare insurance exchange, it’s up to you to report your income accurately. It turns out that the IRS won’t be checking everyone’s Obamacare applications.
Heritage health care expert Chris Jacobs ran the numbers to show what a difference a little fraud can make. He took a hypothetical family of four with $90,000 in income who were eligible for coverage through the exchange. If this family were honest, they would receive a subsidy of $2,997 to help cover their insurance premiums.
But if that same family put down $35,000 as their income instead, they would receive $10,175 from taxpayers. Even if they were caught, they would have to pay back only $2,500 of their ill-gotten subsidy, due to a loophole in Obamacare.
Will anyone be checking? It’s doubtful, Jacobs writes:
Supporters
of the law claim this scenario will not
happen, due to the penalties associated with misrepresenting information on
application forms and tax documents. But with government auditors noting the exchanges have missed
critical deadlines, and Obamacare anti-fraud investigations being cancelled, will the federal government
really have the resources necessary to enforce the law, much less ensure
taxpayer funds are not being abused?
