Secession movements on the rise
More and more, American people are becoming fed up with the
elected class in both the Washington, D.C., cesspool and their State capitols.
It seems that once elected and after sniffing the wine at the
altar of power, most of them lose their humanity. They begin to ignore the will
of their constituents, bowing instead to the will of their corporate masters,
forgetting (or ignoring) the promises they made to get elected.
Once entrenched in office and buttressed by crony/fascist system,
they become almost impossible to unseat. This is occurring in State governments
and moreso in the Federal government.
In the halls of power, there is a hostile movement against the
people and toward more government centralization. While this idea sits well
with much of the parasite class found in mostly urban areas of the country, it
is disagreeable to many — if not most — in the more rural "red"
portion of the country.
This and other issues have led to a growing number of secessionist
movements across the country.
On Election Day this year (November 3, 2021), another rural Oregon
county voted to explore moving to Idaho, part of a larger effort to secede from
the blue state. Harney County became the latest Oregon county to express
interest in joining the "Greater Idaho" movement, an effort to secede
from Democratic-leaning Oregon and join conservative Idaho.
A group of Colorado residents is looking into the possibility of
secession from their state to join Wyoming and escape Colorado's more liberal
government, according to the group's Facebook page. Five counties have already
voted in the past to separate from that State and form a 51st State about the
size of Vermont. Again, the issue was growing frustration in conservative
prairie towns with the liberal ruling class elected by the more populated urban
centers.
Three Maryland counties are calling to secede from their own state
are hoping to find a new home in West Virginia. They want to separate from
Annapolis' liberal majority.
In Michigan, the Upper Peninsula region has in the past made
mention of moving to join with Wisconsin. [I've personally suggested this to our state reps].
And remember when venture capitalist Tim Draper joined a movement
looking to break up the State of California into as many as six different
States? Secession talk is not new for California. There have been at least 200
secession proposals since the state's founding in the 1850s. The
"Jefferson State" has been on the minds of northern Californians and
southern Oregonians for years.
In many cases, those advocating for separation have distanced
themselves from the political parties, recognizing that neither party serves
the interests of liberty.
Whenever the word "secession" is uttered, it is assumed
that angry, racist honkies from the South are trying to stand athwart history,
keeping America from reaching the great beige future imagined by the Founders.
What complete hogwash.
I am an advocate for secession, a concept that is enshrined in the
Declaration of Independence. It is a legitimate remedy for when an established
government becomes destructive to life, liberty and happiness, and when it
begins to derive its powers from places other than the consent of the governed.
Ron Paul wrote, "There is nothing treasonous or unpatriotic
about wanting a federal government that is more responsive to the people it
represents. That is what our Revolutionary War was all about and today our own
federal government is vastly overstepping its constitutional bounds with no
signs of reform..."
Americans have suffered under an ever more abusive and
ever-growing government for many years. The rates of abuse and growth have
accelerated exponentially since the 9/11 attacks and the 2008 economic collapse
and now the pandemic lockdowns. The abuse train has been boarded by both
Republicans and Democrats. It spawned the original Tea Party movement (since co-opted
by the Republican Party). Secession petitions are just another way of
expressing frustration that the people's voices are not being heard.
Secession was considered a viable remedy – and often discussed —
for disagreements over the War of 1812 and by abolitionists prior to the Civil
War.
The Civil War — aka the War to Prevent Southern Secession or the
war of Northern Aggression — essentially neutered the 9th and 10th Amendments.
The war was not started by President Abraham Lincoln to end slavery. It was
fought to stop secession – to reign in a "rebellion" of states who
were exercising their rights as outlined in the Declaration of Independence.
The Founders made it more difficult for states to split than they
did for states to leave the union. Secession was an understood and
Constitutional course of action prior to the tyrant Abraham Lincoln's assault
on the South.
According to Article IV, Section 3:
New States may be admitted by the Congress into this Union; but no
new States shall be formed or erected within the Jurisdiction of any other
State; nor any State be formed by the Junction of two or more States, or parts
of States, without the Consent of the Legislatures of the States concerned as
well as of the Congress.
How soon is now?
I do not believe it is yet time to take up arms or secede from the
union.
For as the Declaration of Independence states: "Prudence,
indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed
for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that
mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right
themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a
long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object
evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it
is the duty to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their
future security."
If the current train of woke, anti-American abuses continues
unabated, a breaking point will eventually be reached. The political class
would do well to heed the growing frustration levels before it is too late.
Several elections this past Election Day were a rejection of
rising socialism... but then again, a socialist won the mayoral race in Boston.
So nothing is a given.
A proper repudiation of Federal power would be to repeal the 17th
amendment and return the power of appointment of senators to the state
legislatures.
The Union was formed as a confederation of states that joined
together voluntarily. It was the States that joined together, not the people.
The Founders saw the States as checks on the Federal government.
They understood that the Federal government would attempt to assume more power
than it was granted by the Constitution. So the Senate was devised in Article
I, Section 3 in such a way as to give the State legislatures Senate-appointing
powers. This made the Senators accountable to the States rather than special
interests. Now Senators are fascists, beholden to business interests and not
their constituents.
As Americans on both sides of the secession movements around the
country continue to feel more and more that the Federal government does not
represent them, the political battle may change from conservatives versus
liberals to the citizens of the Nation versus the elitists and corporate
special interests in Washington, D.C.
This could be a moment in history quite indicative of the
beginning of the end for authoritarian American central government entities.
Yours for the truth,

20 Things That Are Actually Worth
Stockpiling
You don't
need a year's supply of toilet paper to survive an outbreak, but consider
stocking up on these items.
Plus: 7 'Money-Saving' Moves That Cost You in the Long Run
Stockpiling for a
disaster is all about making sure you have what you need when everything goes
wrong. We don’t know when that will happen or what disaster we will
face; but the chances of facing a disaster sometime in our lives is nearly
100%. With that in mind, stockpiling only makes sense.
Most preppers start out by stockpiling food, but it doesn’t take
long for most to broaden their horizons and start adding other things to their
list. There are so many things we use on an everyday basis which we don’t
really need for survival, but there are also many things we will need. The
trick is sorting out which are which and making sure we stockpile the right ones.
Then there are things which we might want during a time of
crisis, but which we can’t stockpile in normal ways because they don’t keep.
Stockpiling those things just creates a disposal problem for us in the midst of
a crisis. So rather than helping us survive, all they do is make survival
harder. Some might even be dangerous if kept for too long...

A round of applause! Truly enjoyed the spoof on Disney too.
This is an amazingly good blog. Go back several issues & you'll find non-stop resources and excellent content....this guy could be the next Tucker Carlson.
We are rapidly becoming two very different nations with two very different cultures. At one time we truly were the “United” States of America, but now we have been split into two opposing camps that deeply hate one another. As a result, in recent years we have watched millions of Americans relocate for ideological reasons. This has caused “red states” to become even redder and “blue states” to become even bluer
