Catching fish in a survival situation
is not as easy as you might think it is — even if you regularly fish for
pleasure.

13 technique to try. As this article points out, different methods will be more

While doing the latest of online stunts – the bottle flipping challenge – Jordan Random happened across a useful phone hack. Many of history’s great inventions happened by unplanned chance, such as Velcro, X-rays, and the microwave. Jordan’s is right up there.
He poses the question: have you ever been stuck with 3G and without the 4G LTE icon? Why yes, I have. No one deserves to have choppy service considering the rates for some of these plans, yet sometimes we just accept it. But 3G, you are killing us softly with your unreliability. Delayed texts, dropped calls, broken up voices, and no internet is not what we want.
In this clip, Jordan shows us how to rig up one possible solution. An ordinary bottle of water became a cell phone signal booster by doing absolutely nothing but standing still.
Water is the key
to survival. At least 60 percent of the adult human body is made of water, and we
can live no more than three days without it.
Since most modern
water pumps use electricity to obtain well water, you may wonder how you would
access well water in the event of a long-term power outage on the homestead.
Here are five methods:
1. Manual pump – With a hand-operated pump, you can obtain five to 15 gallons of water per minute,
depending on the make and model of the pump.

can be used with or without electivity, require quite a bit of effort, but they

Opening Tip
Everyone should have a few survival skills up their sleeve just in case emergency strikes, even if it’s something you think you’ll never need. Weather disasters, wilderness mishaps, and sharknados can hit when you least expect, and you could be stuck without essentials.
With this in mind, should you ever find yourself without a can opener but with plenty of canned rations, the hack below could be useful. You might not even be in a survival scenario. You might have a broken opener, you could be visiting someone’s house who lacks this basic tool, or you just hate can openers (wink-wink lefties). Whatever the case, if you’re confident, have a little upper body strength, and a good dose of common sense, this should work fine.
