The Healing Power of Beer

In survey after survey, you've told me that the biggest
threat to our Liberty is an
"economic collapse caused by hyperinflation."

The result will be a worthless US Dollar.  So I believe the best skill you can learn for bartering is the art of brewing.  After all…

Any examination of history clearly shows that boozing and mankind started hand-in-hand!  People enjoy alcohol and even dear old Queen Elizabeth used to send her trusted beer testers ahead to towns she planned to visit in order to see if the local brew was worth swilling.  If it wasn’t, she brought her own.  (I’m not making this up)!

Home Brewing and How to Make Beer... A Beginner's Guide to Home Brewing and Growing Hops

You see, alcohol is a constant throughout history. At this moment, beer is ranked as the third most consumed beverage on earth, coming in just behind tea and water. Suffice to say, beer would be excellent currency in a bartering situation.

In fact, that demands skyrockets when times are tough.

Beer as currency

No matter what disasters lurk around the corner, just waiting to knock civilization off of it axis, people will still want their cigarettes, booze, chocolate bars, and other vices regardless of how long the crisis lasts.

In fact, when comfort is hard to come by and escaping reality is the only way to stay sane and make it through the day… they’ll pay ridiculous prices for these items.

This knowledge has almost become a cliché among the prepared… But that doesn’t make it any less true. The unprepared will be willing to pay or do just about anything to get a fix when it is hard to come by; this has been proven true again and again throughout history.

Beer, unlike many other barter items, would be desirable to almost any trading partner — an essential quality in a good barter item.  Here are a few DIY sites you can visit for details on home brewing and even Walmart sells home brew kits.

Cooking, BBQs and marinades using beer have grown in popularity too. We frequently make beer bread at our home…

Expert says we're not drinking enough beer
(NaturalNews) For some readers, the headline to this story sounds like a dream come true, most likely. Before you head out to the store for a keg, read this article from Britain's The Independent newspaper…

*      Picking the right furnace filter can keep your AC and heater running better AND your lungs too.

*      Filters can remove pollution and microbes that cause allergies.

*      Use a filter with a good MERV rating…one lower than 5 won’t remove mold or other threats.  One with a MERV higher than 12 will block enough air to raise your power bill.

*      If your system is old or underpowered, go for a MERV between 9 and 12 and check it monthly when in use – a clogged filter sucks up energy.
